Blog #4 "Ask Me" by William Stafford (reflections)
Yesterday, the teacher discussed in the class about a poem called "Ask Me" by William Stafford. As for me I find this poem to be more personal that I've ever read because the author has dealt so many problems in life. But what I can tell about the poem is that in the first sentence of the poem, he sets a setting about the "river is ice" what the author meant was that he is in a cold and frigid place and it is very quiet. Although he discussed that poem that he had many negative thought that people wanted to stay away from him. Life in the real world is pretty boring and hard for people to keep going for their lives. The author thinks that he is actually hurt, but sometimes he can change himself and make things right. I would recommend this kind of poem for those who have many problems throughout their lives, because this poem is actually something to change people's lives forever.
